Onslow County Government Labor Day Closures
Most Onslow County Government Offices will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day.
The Onslow County Landfill and all Convenience Site locations will be closed Sept 7. The Landifll will reopen on Tuesday, Sept 8 at 6:30AM and convenience sites will reopen on Tuesday, Sept 8 at 8AM.
Senior Services will be closed to the public September 3-7 as staff moves to the renovated location at 4024 Richlands Highway (Onslow Enrichment Center). Regular services will resume Tuesday, September 8, at the new location. The current Senior Services location and the new location will both be closed September 3-7. Responses to phone calls/emails during this time may be delayed.
The Onslow County Library and Onslow County Museum will be closed Monday, Sept 7 and will reopen Tuesday, Sept 8.
The administrative offices for Onslow Parks & Recreation will be closed Sept 7. Parks will remain open to the public on Labor Day.
Onslow County Animal Services will be closed Monday, Sept 7 and reopen Tuesday, Sept 8. Animal Control will be responding to emergency calls only on Monday.
Consolidated Human Services will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday, Sept 8.
The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office and Onslow County Emergency Services will continue to respond to emergency services calls. The Sheriff’s Office administrative office and records unit will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday. Emergency Services administrative offices will also be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday.
The Department of Social Services will be closed on Labor Day, but if you need to make a Child or Adult Protective Services report, please call the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office at 910 455-3113 and ask to speak to the social worker on-call.
